Use three-option proposals to anchor high and nudge buyers to your target. State prices clearly and resist over-itemizing line-by-line hours, which invites haggling.

4) Apply pricing psychology sparingly

  • Good–Better–Best: Three tiers outperform one option because buyers like choice without overload.

  • Round numbers: For projects, round to the nearest $100 or $500. For retainers, monthly rounding reduces friction.

5) Decide when to use retainers

  • Projects: Clear deliverables and endpoints. Good for discrete transformations.

2) Create Good–Better–Best
